Tenant Improvements Begin on New Onsite Community Center and Office Suite
Construction is underway at “Providence Center” – the new onsite community center and offices being built at the Providence Master Plan. After months of negotiating, the Providence Board of Directors approved a lease agreement which allows the Master Association management office to move from their current offsite location, to “Providence Plaza,” a privately owned commercial center located within the Master Plan. “We are excited about the Board’s decision to allow for this dedicated space to be built within the community,” explains Community Manager, Brandon Exline. “…The new offices will allow us to better serve the residents of Providence, and the new multi-purpose room will provide a convenient location for our homeowners to get to know their neighbors.”
Tenant Improvements on the 4,200 square-foot Providence Center began in June, and includes a private conference room, community management offices, and a multi-purpose room named simply – The Place. “The Place at Providence Center is a 2,100 square-foot multi-purpose room large enough to host lifestyle events, instructional classes and neighborhood meetings,” states Facilities Director, Randall Fierstein; features include: plasma televisions, game tables, a full size demonstration kitchen, dedicated reading nodes, and a design inspired after New England style beach bungalows.
Providence Center is being built with energy conservation in mind. LED lighting has been selected in lieu of traditional incandescent/ florescent bulbs, all appliances and fixtures have received “ENERGY STAR” ratings, and many of the other fixtures installed throughout the space were selected due to their “LEED” certification by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC). Furnishings within the space have also been selected to contribute to LEED credits and have received both “Greenguard” and “Cradle to Cradle” certification. Rapidly renewable materials, as well as recycled or salvaged materials, have been chosen in place of traditional alternatives.
The new Providence Center is expected to be complete early in the fourth quarter, with a formal Grand Opening scheduled for November 17, 2011.
Built by Focus Property Group, Providence is a 1,200 acre Master Planned Community; which will include nearly 7,500 residences at build-out. Presently, the Community has over 2,000 single family homes, two multi-family complexes and a neighborhood commercial center built adjacent to an already established network of retail, commercial, educational, and entertainment destinations. Inspired after the traditional “New England” style neighborhoods of the northeast, Providence boasts tree lined streets, community parks, walking trails, and a sense of community rooted in the traditions of small town America and reminiscent of the classic American literary theme of westward exploration.
